DC Comics and Marvel Comics two distinct Deadpool/Batman crossover comic books this fall will feature a number of other Marvel/DC team-ups, and Marvel has just announced which ones will appear in their version of the long-awaited crossover.
In addition to the main story starring Deadpool and Batman (by Zeb Wells and Greg Capullo), Marvel’s issue will also feature additional backup stories starring Daredevil and Green Arrow (by Kevin Smith and Adam Kubert), Captain America and Wonder Woman (by Chip Zdarsky and Terry Dodson), and Jeff the Land Shark and Krypto (by Kelly Thompson and Gurihiru).
“This has been surreal to say the least!” Zdarsky said. “Captain America and Wonder Woman are the best their worlds have to offer, both warriors for peace. Getting to explore a dynamic and history between them has been genuinely exciting.”
“Two ICONS meeting for the first time!” Thompson said. “It’s such an honor for Jeff to get to be Marvel’s ambassador in this crossover story with Krypto. Anyone who loves comics knows how rare it is for DC and Marvel to crossover, so Jeff getting to be part of this historic moment with Krypto, and Gurihiru and I getting to bring that tale to readers… well, sometimes this job is very cool.”
DC’s Batman/Deadpool #1 will feature a lead story by Grant Morrison with art by Dan Mora, and will be released in November. No information regarding the DC back-up stories have been released at this time.
Check out the variant covers by Marco Checchetto (Daredevil/Green Arrow), Gurihiru (Jeff the Land Shark/Krypto), Terry Dodson (Captain America/Wonder Woman), Artgerm (Magik/Black Cat), Steve McNiven (Wolverine/Batman), and Peach Momoko (Elektra/Bat Girl) that feature the other Marvel/DC team-ups in the Marvel version of the comic, as well as the new Greg Capullo wraparound variant cover below.
