‘King Conan Chronicles: Phantoms and Phoenixes’ Epic Collection Coming in September

The imminent loss of the Conan the Barbarian license hasn’t slowed Marvel down from continuing to release collections of the Cimmerian’s adventures.

The latest King Conan Chronicles Epic Collection entitled Phantoms and Phoenixes collects a number of Dark Horse Comics (who lost the license back to Marvel in 2019) mini-series featuring the elder barbarian including: Conan and the Midnight God #1-5, King Conan: The Scarlet Citadel #1-4, King Conan: The Phoenix on the Sword #1-4, Conan: The Phantoms of the Black Coast #1-5, and stories from Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures: Funcom Special (a rarity originally released inside of a bagged copy of GamePro Magazine).

The collection contains work by Joshua Dysart, Tim Truman, Victor Gischler, Will Conrad, Tomás Giorello, and Attila Futaki.

The King Conan Chronicles: Phantoms and Phoenixes Epic Collection will be in stores on September 6 and contains 464 pages for a suggested retail price of $44.99.

Conan and the rest of Robert E. Howard’s creations will be published in comic book form by Titan Comics starting in 2023, who also will publish a new Conan novel (Blood of the Serpent by S.M. Sterling) and Conan the Barbarian: The Official Story of the Film this fall.
