J.M. DeMatteis and Michael Sta. Maria Shine a Light on ‘Shadow of the Green Goblin’ in New Collected Edition

J.M. DeMatteis and artist Michael Sta. Maria reach back to 1997’s Spider-Man -1 to further unravel the mystery of the Shadow of the Green Goblin in the collected edition of their recent retro series.

The Spider-Man: Shadow of the Green Goblin trade paperback includes the four-issue mini-series and the issue that started it all in Spider-Man -1 (by Howard Mackie, Dan Fraga, and Scott Hanna).

The new story delves deeper into the original test subject of the “Goblin Formula”, Norman Osborn’s research assistant Nels van Adder, and his transformation into the Proto-Goblin.

Spider-Man: Shadow of the Green Goblin marks the third Spidey retro series from DeMatteis over the past few years, following Ben Reilly: Spider-Man and Kraven: The Lost Hunt.

Spider-Man: Shadow of the Green Goblin consists of 128 pages for a suggested retail price of $17.99.
