DC Studios Co-CEO James Gunn officially announced the start of principal photography for his upcoming Superman film, and also revealed a close-up look at the suit that David Corenswet will be wearing as the new Man of Steel.
Superman (previously titled Superman: Legacy) is both written and directed by Gunn and is set to be the first film in a new shared DC Universe.
Along with Corenswet, Superman stars Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, María Gabriela De Faría as the Engineer, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher and Terence Rosemore as Otis.
Superman will be released in July 2025.
