‘Superman’ Holds Strong at Weekend Box Office

James Gunn’s Superman finished in first place at the weekend box office once again with a $57.3 million total.

James Gunn’s Superman film brings the Man of Steel back to his roots and somehow, at the same time, makes him relevant for a 21st century audience.

Superman (previously titled Superman: Legacy) is both written and directed by Gunn and is set to be the first film in a new shared DC Universe.
