‘Invasion of the Spider-Slayers’ Epic Collection Contains Robots and Rarities

The six part “Invasion of the Spider-Slayers” story arc by David Michelinie, Mark Bagley, and Randy Emberlin from 1992 serves as the main event of the latest Spider-Man Epic Collection, but the volume also contains a few rarities as well.

The Spider-Man: Invasion of the Spider-Slayers Epic Collection contains the collection’s namesake along with a two part Venom clash entitled “Bride of Venom” in Amazing Spider-Man #368-377 and Amazing Spider-Man Annual #27.

In addition to the monthly Spidey series, Spider-Slayers also includes the Spider-Man/Dr. Strange: The Way to Dusty Death graphic novel by Roy Thomas, Gerry Conway, Michael Bair, Mark Beachum, and Mark Texeira and the very rare Spider-Man Special Edition: Trial of Venom UNICEF donation.

Trial of Venom was originally offered by the charitable organization for a $5 donation, and takes place just prior to the Venom: Lethal Protector mini-series. Trial of Venom (which also co-stars Daredevil) was written by Peter David, with art by Jim Craig and Dan and David Day.

The Spider-Man: Invasion of the Spider-Slayers Epic Collection consists of 424 pages for a suggested retail price of $39.99.
