‘Incredible Hulk: Man or Monster?’ Epic Collection Celebrates the Origins of the Hulk

The newly reprinted Incredible Hulk: Man or Monster? Epic Collection tells the origins of Bruce Banner’s fateful decision to save Rick Jones from a Gamma blast and how he became the Marvel Universe’s misunderstood and unstoppable force of nature.

All of the issues in this collection are by the architects of the original Marvel Universe, Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, and contain the first six issues of The Incredible Hulk series from 1962 (which was, believe it or not, cancelled), and his subsequent guest appearances and battles with the likes of The Thing, Spider-Man, Ant-Man, and Thor in Fantastic Four (1961) #12, 25-26, Avengers (1963) #1-3, 5, Amazing Spider-Man (1963) #14, Tales to Astonish (1959) #59, and Journey into Mystery (1952) #112.

The stories also contain additional artwork by Steve Ditko, Dick Ayers, Paul Reinman, George Roussos, and Chic Stone.

Man or Monster? consists of 392 pages for a suggested retail price of $44.99.

The new printing will be available at your local comic shop on September 17. The Epic Collection was last available in June of 2021.
