‘Incredible Hulk: Man or Monster?’ Epic Collection Contains All of The Hulk’s Early Appearances

If you want to introduce a new fan to the world of The Hulk and his origins, Marvel’s Incredible Hulk: Man or Monster? Epic Collection is just what the doctor (Dr. Banner, of course) ordered!

The newly reprinted Epic Collection (which go out of print surprisingly quickly and fetch high sums at conventions and online) tells the origins of Bruce Banner’s fateful decision to save Rick Jones from a Gamma blast and how he became the unstoppable force that he is today.

All of the issues in this collection are by the architects of the original Marvel Universe, Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, and contain the first six issues of The Incredible Hulk series from 1962 (which was, believe it or not, cancelled), and his subsequent guest appearances and battles with the likes of The Thing, Spider-Man, Ant-Man, and Thor in Fantastic Four (1961) #12, 25-26, Avengers (1963) #1-3, 5, Amazing Spider-Man (1963) #14, Tales to Astonish (1959) #59, and Journey into Mystery (1952) #112.

Man or Monster? retails for $39.99 (and clocks in at 392 pulse-pounding pages) and will be available at your local comic shop on June 9 and in bookstores roughly two weeks later.
