Even though most “What If?” stories in Marvel’s past have been a little bit on the dark side, the new series of What If? one-shots called What If…? Dark make it very clear that these are not cheerful flights of fancy.
The Fantastic Four’s ever-lovin’, blue-eyed Thing stars in his own omnibus collecting his entire solo series and many other notable Thing stories from the 1980s.
The majority of John Byrne’s five year run on Fantastic Four is once again available in October, marking the third time that the omnibus has gone back to print.
For those that missed out on seeing the film in 1982, Fathom Events will bring back The Thing for a special 40th Anniversary screening at select theaters around the country on June 19 and 22.
Featuring art by Tom Reilly, the story will include cameos from characters from all over the Marvel Universe, from Yancy Street to the far reaches of the cosmos.
