The first half of Jason Aaron’s popular Thor run is back on shelves in a new reprinted Omnibus edition.
The Thor by Jason Aaron Omnibus Vol. 1 (originally collected in 2022) includes Thor: God of Thunder #1-25, Thor #1-8, Thor Annual #1, Thors #1-4, and The Mighty Thor #1-12.
Artists Esad Ribic and Russell Dauterman share top billing on the cover of the Omnibus with Aaron as the primary creative team responsible for all of the hammer-smashing stories.
Other artists represented in the collection include Butch Guice, Tom Palmer, Nic Klein, Emanuela Lupacchino, Das Pastoras, Ron Garney, Agustin Alessio, RM Guera, Simon Bisley, Russell Dauterman, Jorge Molina, Rob Guillory, Marguerite Sauvage, Chris Sprouse, Goran Sudzuka, Karl Story, Dexter Vines, Tim Truman, Rafa Garres, and Frazer Irving.
Highlights in the collection and the first half of the run include the introduction of Gorr, the God Butcher and a new Goddess of Thunder by the name of Jane Foster (when Thor becomes unworthy of the mantle), journeys through time with Thor’s past and future selves (and his feisty grand daughters) and their battles against Gorr, the return of Malekith the Accursed and his conquest of the nine realms, and more trouble with Loki, Roxxon, and even All-Father Odin.
The Omnibus consists of 1,216 pages for a suggested retail price of $125.00.
The Thor by Jason Aaron Omnibus Vol. 2 was released in 2023, so it is likely that a new edition will also be on the way from Marvel soon to complete the saga.
As with original release, the Omnibus is available with a cover by Ribic, Dauterman, and a comic shop variant by Joe Quesada.
