Mark Waid and Mike Wieringo’s 2002 to 2005 fan-favorite and critically acclaimed run on Fantastic Four is once again available at your local comic shop in a new Omnibus edition.
The Fantastic Four by Mark Waid and Mike Wieringo Omnibus (originally released in 2018) collects Fantastic Four #60-70, 500-524, and the #500 Director’s Cut version.
In addition to Waid and Wieringo, the stories also include art by Mark Buckingham, Casey Jones, Howard Porter, Paul Smith, Paco Medina, Karl Kesel, Danny Miki, Allen Martinez, Lary Stucker, Norm Rapmund, and Juan Vlasco.
The Omnibus contains a number of memorable storylines such as: “Sentient”, “Unthinkable”, “Authoritative Action”, “Hereafter”, “Dysfunctional”, “Fourtitude”, and “Galactus”. Waid and Wieringo expanded on the vast groundwork laid by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in their run, following the classic First Family format with new exciting twists, humor, and tragedy.
The Omnibus also includes an introduction by Ralph Macchio.
The collection consists of 896 pages for a suggested retail price of $100.00.
The Fantastic Four by Mark Waid and Mike Wieringo Omnibus comes with two different covers by Wieringo and Kesel (the second one below is the comic shop variant version).
