Disney California Adventure’s Avengers Campus is preparing for a major expansion that will double the size of the existing theme park land with two new attractions.
During the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase panel at D23 2024, Disney Experiences chairman Josh D’Amaro shared new details concerning the expansion of Avengers Campus.
The additions will include last year’s announcement of Avengers Infinity Defense, a ride that will take guests on an adventure to stop the multiversal King Thanos from using stolen portal technology. Avengers Infinity Defense will transport everyone to Asgard, Wakanda, and New York City.
The second soon to be added attraction is Stark Flight Lab where guests will learn how to fly like Iron Man and his amazing friends.
Construction will start next year on both projects.
Overseas, Shanghai is getting a new roller coaster featuring Spider-Man and Hong Kong will also add a Spider-Man thrill attraction to their preexisting Stark Expo area.
