Cap meets, fights, and befriends his future partner (and future shield bearer) Sam Wilson in the reissued Captain America Omnibus Vol. 2.
The Omnibus (originally released in 2015) collects Captain America #114-148 by the famed Marvel Bullpen including Stan Lee, Gary Friedrich, Gene Colan, John Romita Sr., Sal Buscema, Marie Severin, Dick Ayers, Frank Giacoia, Joe Sinnott, Bill Everett, Wally Wood, Herb Trimpe, Tom Palmer, John Verpoorten, Tony Mortellaro, John Verpoorten, and George Roussos.
The Falcon swoops onto the scene, and in typical Marvel fashion, fights Cap before becoming his ally and eventually gets his name on the marque in issue #134 when the duo teams up for over seven years together.
Steve Rogers encounter the Red Skull and his Cosmic Cube, M.O.D.O.K., Hydra, Scorpion, the Cyborg, Man-Brute, Suprema, Batroc, Whirlwind, Porcupine, Stone-Face, Grey Gargoyle, and the Femme Force.
Cap also takes time to set out on a road trip to contemplate his place in the America after so many years away, and surprisingly encounters a delusional Bucky Barnes. Is he really back (well, not yet)?
Captain America Omnibus Vol. 2 Omnibus consists of 816 pages for a suggested retail price of $100.00.
The Omnibus will be available at your local comic shop on October 2.
Fans will once again get to choose between covers by Carlos Pacheco Romita Sr. (comic shop variant).
