‘DC Finest: The Flash: The Human Thunderbolt’ Retells Origins of the Silver Age Flash

The first DC Finest edition featuring the Flash goes back to the birth of the Silver Age of Comics with the debut of Barry Allen as the human thunderbolt.

The Flash: The Human Thunderbolt collects the first stories featuring the new and improved Scarlet Speedster in Showcase #4, 8, and 13-14, and The Flash #105-123.

All stories are written by John Broome, Robert Kanigher, and Gardner Fox, with art by Carmine Infantino, Joe Giella, Joe Kubert, Frank Giacoia, and Murphy Anderson.

The first DC Finest volume contains stories from September 1956 to September 1961, featuring Barry’s origin and one of the first multiverse tales in any medium when Barry meets the Golden Age Flash Jay Garrick in “Flash of Two Worlds”.

DC Finest: The Flash: The Human Thunderbolt consists of 632 pages for a suggested cover price of $39.99.
