The new version of the Crisis on Infinite Earths: Absolute Edition is designed to satisfy all comic historians and classic DC Comics fans.
The 2026 version of the Absolute Edition (previously released in 2005) contains the entire universe-changing tale by Marv Wolfman, George Pérez, Dick Giordano, Jerry Ordway, and Mike DeCarlo.
The oversized, slip-cased set features remastered art and covers, recolored in conjunction with Anthony Tollin, Tom Ziuko, and Carl Gafford’s original colors.
The revised edition includes brand new essays from the creators and an Absolute-size hardcover of Wolfman and Perez’s original History of the DC Universe two-issue, prestige format series from the same era.
The new edition still contains the original introduction by Wolfman, afterword by Giordano, creator bios, behind-the-scenes memos, notes, original plots, and commentary, and other bonus material.
The hardcover two-volume set consists of 736 pages for a suggested retail price of $125.00.
Check out the newly-remastered Perez cover below (with touch-ups by Ordway and Jose Villarrubia) and look for the massive collection at your local comic shop on June 30.
