‘Conan the Adventurer: The Original Comics’ Omnibus Collects Rare 1994 Series

Titan Comics and Heroic Signatures bring a rare treasure to Conan fans in a new Omnibus featuring Marvel Comics fourteen-issue Conan the Adventurer series.

The 1994 series followed the demise of Marvel’s original 275-issue Conan the Barbarian comic book series, and was written by long-time Conan scribe Roy Thomas with art by Rafael Kayanan and John Watkiss.

The relaunched Conan title was aimed at a younger audience and was originally scheduled to coincide with the animated Conan the Adventurer TV show.

The young Conan seems to be modeled after the original slimmed down, Barry Windsor-Smith version, and focused on his early exploits in and around Cimmeria.

After Conan the Adventurer wrapped up in early 1995, Marvel would launch another Conan series which only lasted eleven issues before focusing on Conan mini-series for the rest of the decade. An Omnibus containing these rarities will be released by Titan in the fall.

The Omnibus includes previously unseen bonus material and an all-new introduction by Thomas.

The Conan the Adventurer Omnibus consists of 368 pages for a suggested cover price of $60.00.
