The original Captain America Omnibus is available once again for fans of the star-spangled Avenger to add to their collections.
The Captain America Omnibus Volume 1 collects the Marvel era’s earliest adventures of Steve Rogers in Tales of Suspense #59-99, Captain America #100-113, and Not Brand Echh #3.
All stories are written by Stan Lee and Roy Thomas, with art by fellow legends Jack Kirby, Jim Steranko, Gil Kane, George Tuska, John Romita Sr., Dick Ayers, and Jack Sparling.
After Cap is unfrozen by the Avengers, he joins Iron Man on the cover of Tales of Suspense #59 in a classic hero vs. hero battle before TOS became another Marvel split book, with each hero sharing billing and page count.
The Tales of Suspense stories start out as period pieces, before bringing Cap to the Marvel Age, with encounters with the Red Skull, Baron Zemo, M.O.D.O.K., the Super-Adaptoid, Batroc, the original Power Man, the Trapster, and even the Hulk and Black Panther.
All original letters page are once again included, as well as the in-depth visual analysis of Jim Steranko’s legendary Cap run by Steranko himself.
Previous editions of the Captain America Omnibus Vol. 1 were released in 2011 and 2016.
The omnibus consists of 856 pages for a suggested retail price of $125.
