‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Wins Five Straight; ‘Violent Night’ Delivers Strong Second Weekend at Box Office

Unsurprisingly, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever came in first once again at the weekend box office earning an estimated $11.1 million.

Wakanda Forever’s domestic total now stands at $410 million, one million dollars away from catching Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness‘ total, which will make it the second highest grossing film of 2022.

This will be the last first place finish for the sequel, with Avatar: The Way of Water arriving this week.

Violent Night finished in second place once again with an estimated $8.7 million, only dropping 35% from last week. With $26.7 over the fist ten days of release, Violent Night is proving to be a modest hit for Universal, with more holiday dollars on the way throughout December (and perfect counter-programming for Avatar).

Tune in next week to see how high Avatar: The Way of Water can soar, and if fans turn out to support the long-delayed sequel.
