Mike W. Barr, Dennis O’Neill, Jerry Bingham, Norm Breyfogle, Tom Grindberg, and Eva Grindberg’s Batman: The Demon Trilogy is available once again at your local comic shop.
The three graphic novel collection includes 1988’s Batman: Son of the Demon, 1990’s Batman: Bride of the Demon, and 1992’s Batman: Birth of the Demon.
Each graphic novel was originally released as a hardcover edition, with softcover versions following a year or two later.
One of DC Comics original Elseworld-style stories, the trilogy begins when Batman must team-up with Ra’s Al Ghul to stop a madman hellbent on destroying the world. The Dark Knight and Talia Al Ghul also find time to conceive a son, who would later appear in Mark Waid and Alex Ross’ Kingdom Come.
The story would also inspire the creation of the DC Universe version of Bruce and Talia’s son, Damian Wayne, who first appeared in Batman #655 in 2006 by Grant Morrison and Andy Kubert.
The edition (which was originally published in 2020) once again includes introductions by Barr and comic fan and the voice of Batman: The Animated Series‘ Joker, Mark Hamill.
Batman: The Demon Trilogy consists of 304 pages for a suggested retail price of $49.99.
