‘Alpha Flight by John Byrne’ Omnibus Lands Again at Local Comic Shops

John Byrne’s 1983 X-Men spin-off series Alpha Flight is back at your local comic shop this October.

Originally collected in 2017, the Omnibus includes the first appearances of team in Chris Claremont, Byrne, and Terry Austin’s The Uncanny X-Men #109, 120-121, 139-140, and the first few years of the title series in Alpha Flight #1-29, 1985’s X-Men/Alpha Flight #1-2, and 1998’s X-Men/Alpha Flight #1-2.

Many early appearances around the Marvel Universe (primarily featuring team member Sasquatch) by Byrne and other creators are included in the Alpha Flight Omnibus such as Machine Man #19; Marvel Two-in-One #83-84, The Incredible Hulk #272, #313, The Incredible Hulk Annual #8, and the Alpha Flight appearance in Marvel Team-Up Annual #7.

In addition to the work of Byrne and Claremont, the Omnibus also contains work by Tom DeFalco, Bill Mantlo, Roger Stern, Ben Raab, John Cassaday, Louise Simonson, Steve Ditko, Ron Wilson, Chic Stone, Sal Buscema, Mike Mignola, John Cassaday, Paul Smith, and Paul Neary.

The Canada-sized Omnibus consists of 1,248 pages for a suggested retail price $125.00.

The Alpha Flight by John Byrne Omnibus will be available on October 25.
