‘X-Men by Chris Claremont: Prelude to a Future Past’ #1 Collects Original Story and Rare Prelude

Chris Claremont’s prelude to “Days of Future Past” (previously only available in the Marvel Made Paragon Collection: Chris Claremont) will be released as part of a three-story collection this July.

X-Men by Chris Claremont: Prelude to a Future Past #1 will arrive in the form of a giant-sized one-shot comic that collects the rare prelude as well as the original two-part story from 1980’s Uncanny X-Men #141 and #142 by Claremont, John Byrne, and Terry Austin.

The prelude (with art by Salvador Larroca) shows how the surviving X-Men saved Rachel Summers from her role as a mutant-hunting Hound.

The giant-sized one-shot will be in stores on July 2 and will also include bonus materials celebrating Chris Claremont’s fifty-plus years writing the X-Men.
