Jeff Lemire shares stories about his life and his life in comics in 10,000 Ink Stains: A Memoir.
The new illustrated memoir describes his winding path to success via a book-by-book and step-by-step journey of sketches, previously unpublished materials, essays, archives, and more, including Lemire’s personal life, his struggles with his mental health, and how they have informed his work in comics.
Lemire also shares what it’s really like to work for DC and Marvel Comics, his struggle to maintain his own voice on famous characters, his insights into Netflix’s adaptation of Sweet Tooth, and his creative process concerning the building of the worlds of Descender, Black Hammer, Gideon Falls, and more.
Fans will also be privy to archival reproductions of Lemire’s very first self-published mini-comics and other rarities.
