Prince Namor returns to defend his underwater kingdom and upset the surface world in the new Namor, the Sub-Mariner Epic Collection.
Who Strike for Atlantis? includes issue #4-27 of his first solo series, all written by Roy Thomas, with classic Marvel art by John Buscema, Marie Severin, Gene Colan, Sal Buscema, Frank Giacoia, Dan Adkins, Mike Esposito (as Joe Gaudioso), Joe Sinnott, Jack Katz (as Jay Hawk), Johnny Craig, George Klein, Vince Colletta, Jim Mooney, and John Romita, Sr.
The stories from 1968-1970 include plenty of drama on and under the Seven Seas, including confrontations with Tiger Shark, Orca, and Doctor Doom, the discovery of the “Helmet of the Ancients” (which is later revealed to be the infamous Serpent Crown), and even Namor’s exile to the surface world.
In typical Marvel manner, the Sub-Mariner also takes on plenty of heroes such as Triton, the Thing, the Human Torch, Doctor Strange, and Stingray (and he also seems less conflicted about it than most) in his solo title.
The Namor, the Sub-Mariner: Who Strikes for Atlantis? Epic Collection consists of 512 pages for a suggested retail price of $49.99.
