Universal Studios Orlando has given Universal Monster fans a treat for Halloween 2024: previews of Epic Universe’s Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment attraction’s animatronic figures.
The new ride at Epic Universe’s Dark Universe will feature 14 high tech animated figures based on the classic pantheon of monsters including Frankenstein, Dracula, The Wolf Man, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, and more.
The Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment ride is described by Universal as a journey into the “…catacombs of Frankenstein Manor, where Dr. Victoria Frankenstein – the great-great-granddaughter of the infamous Henry Frankenstein – conducts her twisted and misguided experiments. In a vain display of her genius, she invites guests to witness a demonstration of her ability to control monsters – but her plans go awry when a horde of enraged monsters are unleashed.”
In addition to the animatronic figures, guests at the theme park will also be able to meet, greet and take photos with costumed cast members dressed as Frankenstein’s Monster, The Bride of Frankenstein, Ygor, and The Invisible Man.
Epic Universe is currently scheduled to open to the public on May 22, 2025.
