Dan Watters, Ram V, Matthew Roberts, and Dave Stewart bring Universal Studios Creature from the Black Lagoon back to life in a new four-issue mini-series in April.
Universal Monsters: Creature From The Black Lagoon Lives! takes place in a modern setting and introduces a new storyline featuring an investigative journalist, a serial killer, a vengeful doctor who was maimed by the Creature, and the Gill Man himself in the new series.
Universal Monsters: Creature From The Black Lagoon Lives! is the second title from the Universal partnership with Skybound/Image Comics and follows James Tynion IV and Martin Simmonds’ Dracula series.
The last and only time the Creature has ever appeared in comic book form was in a Dark Horse Comics 1993 one-shot by Arthur Adams, Terry Austin, and Steve Moncuse.

Nitpick: Dell published a Creature from the Black Lagoon comic back in 1963, so that 1990s Dark Horse comic was not his only previous comic book appearance.
