Jason Aaron, Esad Ribic, and Jackson Guice’s eleven issue “Gorr the God Butcher” and “Godbomb” storylines are collected in a brand new trade paperback edition, right in time for Marvel Studios Thor: Love and Thunder which will feature Gorr as the antagonist of the film.
For those unfamiliar with Gorr the God Butcher who want to know more about the insidious villain before stepping into theaters on July 8, the collection captures the first meeting between Gorr and Thor, his origins, and his battle with three Thors from the past, present, and future.
Aaron’s story arc featuring Gorr was previously collected as two hardcover editions back in 2013 and two subsequent trade paperbacks in 2014.
Aaron’s run on the Thor title, including his Jane Foster as Thor series, appears to provide the basis for much of Thor: Love and Thunder, and we will all be certain on July 8.
