The extensive work by J.M. DeMatteis and Sal Buscema on The Spectacular Spider-Man is collected in a new Omnibus celebrating their time together on the series.
The Omnibus collects The Spectacular Spider-Man #178-216 and The Spectacular Spider-Man Annual #12-14.
Along with DeMatteis and Buscema, the Omnibus also contains work by Steven Grant, Mike Lackey, Ann Nocenti, Tom DeFalco, Todd Dezago, David Michelinie, D. Blaise, James Fry, Scott McDaniel, Jerry Bingham, Mike Zeck, Rodney Ramos, Keith Williams, and Michael Higgins.
The stories (from the early 90s) include appearances by Vermin, the Green Goblin, the Vulture, Venom, the Rhino, the Puma, Professor Power, the Shroud, the Foreigner, Typhoid Mary, the Scorpion, and more.
The collection also includes a team-up with the X-Men and the follow up to DeMatteis and Zeck’s “Kraven’s Last Hunt” storyline in 1992’s The Amazing Spider-Man: Soul of the Hunter prestige format one-shot.
