‘The Nam: 1966-1969’ Omnibus Collects Marvel’s Vietnam War Series

Marvel Comics realistic war series about the Vietnam Conflict is now available in a new Omnibus edition.

The ‘Nam: 1966-1969 Omnibus collects 1986’s The ‘Nam #1-45 and ‘Nam stories from 1985’s Savage Tales #1 and 4 black-and-white magazine.

All stories are written by Doug Murray, with art by Mike Golden, Wayne Vansant, John Severin, Sam Glanzman, Armando Gil, Pepe Moreno, John Beatty, Bob McLeod, Bob Camp, Geof Isherwood, Frank Springer, and Stan Drake.

The action-packed and harrowing tales feature looks at both sides in the war, focusing primarily on Private Ed Marks, Mike “Ice” Phillip, and other members of the 23rd Infantry Division as they face physical and psychological challenges.

The year-by-year approach to the series brought another level of realism to the story, highlighting the historical elements and stages of the war from the specific time period.

The ‘Nam: 1966-1969 Omnibus consists of 1,128 pages for a suggested retail price of $125.00.
