Hasbro Force FX Elite’s Lightsaber line is about to offer an infamous weapon to all who dare to wield it, namely the famed Mandalorian version of a lightsaber called the Darksaber.
Chris Reiff, product designer at Hasbro, stated that creating the replica weapon was a challenge, even for experienced lightsaber builders. Reiff went on to say that “We’ve had a lot of experience at refining and enhancing the performance of the traditional blades, so we are excited at how well this saber compliments the rest of the line. Everything about it is unique amongst sabers, and puzzling our way through new tech and new solutions to deliver an amazing product like this is a passion everyone on the team here shares.”
The blade (most recently featured on The Mandalorian) was originally crafted by the first Mandalorian Jedi, Tarre Vizsla, and was “inherited” by his ancestor Pre Vizsla. Other notable Star Wars characters that have been in possession of the Darksaber include: Darth Maul, Sabine Wren, Bo-Katan Kryze, and most recently, Moff Gideon.
