‘The Hood: The Saga of Parker Robbins’ Spotlights the Evolution of a Super Villain

Brian K. Vaughan and Kyle Hotz’s nefarious creation The Hood takes the spotlight in a brand new villainous retrospective.

The Hood: The Parker Robbins Saga collects the original hard-to-find mini-series from 2002 (by Vaughan, Hotz, and Eric Powell), and his incorporation into the larger Marvel Universe in Dark Reign: The Hood #1-5 by Jeff Parker and Hotz, and The Hood story from the Dark Reign: The Cabal one-shot by Rick Remender, Max Fiumara, and Scott Hanna.

Robbins starts as a street-level criminal before acquiring demonic powers and joining the bog leagues in the Dark Reign era of Marvel. Robbins was also frequently used as an antagonist in Brian Michael Bendis’ Avengers series from the same time period.

The Hood: The Parker Robbins Saga contains 296 pages for a suggested cover price of $34.99.
