‘The Gotham War’ Begins With Batman and Catwoman Connecting Variant Covers by Joe Quesada and Kevin Nowlan

Joe Quesada and Kevin Nowlan heat up The Gotham War with a pair of connecting covers featuring a face off between Batman and Catwoman.

The covers will be featured on Batman #137 (September 5) and Catwoman #57 (September 19), the second and third issues in the crossover after the initial Batman/Catwoman: The Gotham War-Battle Lines #1 (August 29).

The story begins with Gotham City’s crime rate at an all time low due to the violent methods of Catwoman and her vigilante crew. Batman returns to his city after the events of Knight Terrors and is none too pleased with his former fiancé’s work, which inevitably leads to trouble in the streets of Gotham and an unfortunate Bat-Family war.

Chip Zdarsky, Tini Howard, Mike Hawthorne, and Adriano Di Benedetto bring The Gotham War to life, which is bound to bleed into the core comic series after the event concludes in late October.
