Stan Sakai’s five issue IDW series from 2023 starring the Heroes in a Half Shell and the Rabbit Ronin is now available in a trade paperback collection.
The hijinks begin when the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pursue the evil cyborg genius Dr. WhereWhen through a time portal and show up in feudal Japan where they encounter Usagi Yojimbo, before taking on a slew of samurai robots.
Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird’s creations first crossed paths with Sakai’s rabbit samurai in 1986, and Wherewhen continues the long-standing tradition of uniting the anthropomorphic characters.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles/Usagi Yojimbo: Wherewhen consists of 144 pages for a suggested retail price of $21.99.
