TCM celebrates some Summer Drive-In Classics on Wednesday, June 18 with five sci-fi/horror movies guaranteed to make you cancel your afternoon plans.
The fun starts at high noon (which actually screens at 8:00 pm on TCM for you western fans) with 1954’s giant ants feature Them! followed by 1960’s panic-inducing The Hypnotic Eye at 1:45 pm.
Things take a turn at 3:15 pm with the transgressive Spider Baby, starring Lon Chaney Jr. and Sid Haig in a tale featuring a twisted, backwoods family.
The Green Slime slides in at 4:45 pm, turning all the occupants of a space station into monsters, before turning over the tv dial to the King of Monsters, Godzilla, at 6:30 with Godzilla vs. Hedorah (also known as “The Smog Monster” to longtime fans).
Be sure to take advantage of the pre-Halloween season fun on TCM, and stay tuned to Conskipper for all of your vintage sci-fi and horror news.
