‘Tails of the Super Pets’ Lets the Fur Fly in Classic DC Comics Collection

DC Comics dips into some of their earliest comics for some “hair-raising” adventures with Krypto the Superdog, Streaky the Supercat, Ace the Bat-Hound, and less well-known pets such as Aquaman’s octopus Topo, Comet the flying horse, Wonder Woman’s kangaroo Jumpa, or Beppo the Super Chimp in the new Tails of the Super Pets graphic novel.

Stories featuring the Super Pets (timed to coincide with the soon to be released DC League of the Super Pets animated film on July 29) include Action Comics #261, 266, 277, 292, 293, Batman #125, Adventure Comics #210, 256, 293, 322, 364, Superman #176, Wonder Woman #23; and Superboy #76.

The material in Super Pets stretches from 1947 to 1968 and contains work from Jerry Siegel, Robert Bernstein, Leo Dorfman, Bill Finger, Otto Binder, Edmond Hamilton, William Moulton Marston, Jim Shooter Jim Mooney, Sheldon Moldoff, Charles Paris, Sy Barry, Ramona Fradon, John Forte, Sheldon Moldoff, Pete Costanza, George Klein, Harry G. Peter, George Papp, Barry Stan Kaye, and Curt Swan.
