Sinners sunk its teeth into the weekend box office once again, finishing in the top spot with one of the smallest week-to-week declines in recent memory.
Sinners earned $45 million in its second weekend, with only a 6% drop from its $48 million start. Most genre films, especially horror films, drop at least 50% in their sopohmore frame, making the stat even more impressive.
Buoyed by excellent word of mouth and critical scores, Sinners has grossed $122.5 million in North America and $161.6 million globally.
Sinners currently boasts a Rotten Tomatoes score of 98% and a Cinemascore grade of “A”.
The Ryan Coogler directed film will receive some stiff competition this weekend with the debut of Marvel’s Thunderbolts, so check back next weekend to see how both films fared at the box office.
