‘She-Hulk by Dan Slott’ Omnibus Highlights the Writer’s Take on the Jade Giantess

Dan Slott is known for his sense of humor, and it is on full display in the reprinted She-Hulk by Dan Slott Omnibus.

The new edition (originally published in 2020) includes: She-Hulk (2004) #1-12, She-Hulk (2005) #1-21, and Marvel Westerns: Two Gun Kid.

Slott’s stories take Jennifer Walters from the courtroom, to space (where she practices Universal Law for the Living Tribunal), to a place out of time (courtesy of the Time Variance Authority), and back again.

Walters also must contend with the Superhuman Registration Act, the first Marvel Civil War, The Daily Bugle, and opponents such as Titania, The Absorbing Man, The Champion, The Mad Thinker, Electro, Sandman, Tiger Shark, Vermin, The Rhino, Man-Wolf, and The Abomination.

Slott’s run was also famous for his use of guest stars from all over the Marvel Universe such as Spider-Man, The Thing, Adam Warlock, Gamora, Moon Dragon, Beta Ray Bill, Gladiator, Hercules, Doc Sampson, Reed Richards, Spider-Woman, Hawkeye, Star Fox, Wolverine, and Nick Fury.

Slott is joined by artists Juan Bobillo, Marcelo Sosa, Tom Simmons, Paul Pelletier, Rick Magyar, Don Hillsman, Mike Vosburg, Amanda Connor, Mike Mayhew, Jimmy Palmiotti, Ron Frenz, Joe Sinnott, Sal Buscema, Don Simpson, Lee Wekks, Tom Grummett, Gary Erskine, Scott Kollins, Eric Powell, Will Round, Paul Smith, Joe Rubinstein, Rick Burchett, Nelson DeCastro, Cliff Rathburn, and Eduardo Barreto in the collection.

Slott would be followed by a man who was no stranger to green protagonists, Peter David, in She-Hulk #22. David’s She-Hulk run was just collected last March in an omnibus edition as well.

The She-Hulk by Dan Slott Omnibus consists of 824 pages and comes with a suggested retail price of $100.00. The collection will be in stores on December 7.
