A new, somewhat smaller, but just as deadly squad of sentinels show up in Alex Paknadel and Justin Mason’s five-issue mini-series this October.
The new “From the Ashes” era series profiles as group of government-sponsored technologically-enhanced super beings, designed and led by Lawrence Trask, the son of Bolivar Trask, the original creator of the giant robotic sentinels.
Unlike his father however, the younger Trask is actually a mutant with the haunting gift of foresight, which allows him to send his new team of sentinels to capture the most dangerous mutants alive.
The team consists of Sawtooth, Lockstep, Drumfire, and Voivod whose first mission is track down and apprehend Omega Red.
Paknadel said “As an X-fan going back to my first set of teeth, I couldn’t be prouder or more excited to share Sentinels with the fans. This book is about flawed human beings doing a dirty job for a dirty cause, and Justin Mason and I are determined to make you care about each and every one of them. Whatever your expectations are going in, I promise this book will surprise you.”
