‘Savage Dragon’ Cartoon Now Airing on Peacock

Just in case you missed the animated adaptation of Erik Larsen’s long-running Image Comics series Savage Dragon, NBC’s free steaming service Peacock is now airing all 26 episodes of the mid-90s hit.

Larsen is exited that everyone will once again get to see the animated series (which originally aired from 1995 to 1996 on the USA Network), saying that “There are people who grew up with the cartoon and loved it—it was the USA network’s only success story—the only show from their cartoon block which was renewed for a second season. This hugely popular cartoon from the ‘90s introduced a generation of fans to the Savage Dragon comic and I’m pleased to see the show back on the air to introduce the next generation of fans to the Savage Dragon.”

And just in case you are feeling nostalgic, and haven’t checked on the fin-headed police office in awhile, the comic is still going strong and Larsen is still writing and illustrating the title.
