Samuel L. Jackson Will Star in ‘Nick Fury’ Series On Disney Plus

Nick Fury has appeared in nine Marvel Cinematic Universe films, kicking off the most successful film franchise of all time in the first patented post-credits scene at the end of 2008’s Iron Man.

Although the super-spy played by Samuel L. Jackson was initially rumored to star in his own film, Variety is now reporting that the director of S.H.I.E.L.D will star in his own Disney+ series.

Variety has learned that while “The exact plot details of the show are being kept under wraps, but multiple sources say Jackson is attached to star with Kyle Bradstreet attached to write and executive produce.”

Marvel’s Disney+ television stable is beginning to get crowded, with WandaVision debuting this year, The Falcon and Winter Soldier and Loki reportedly airing in 2021, and a slew of shows in pre-production including Hawkeye, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, and Ms. Marvel.
