‘Punisher: Circle of Blood’ Epic Collection Focuses on Frank Castle’s Rise to Stardom in 1980s

The origins of the Punisher’s rocket to the top of the sales charts are featured in the reissued Punisher: Circle of Blood Epic Collection.

Steven Grant Mike Zeck, and John Beatty’s character-defining Punisher mini-series from 1986 opens the collection, followed by the first ten issues of Frank Castle’s solo series debut by Mike Baron, Mike Vosburg, Klaus Janson, David Ross, Kevin Nowlan, Whilce Portacio, and Scott Williams, and the two-part crossover with Daredevil in Daredevil #257 by Ann Nocenti, John Romita, Jr., and Al Williamson.

1988’s Punisher: Assassin’s Guild Graphic novel by Jo Duffy, Jorge Zaffino, and Julie Michel rounds out Circle of Blood, as an added bonus.

Circle of Blood is the first Punisher Epic Collection to be reprinted. The original Epic Collection was released in 2018. The Grant/Zeck/Beatty original mini-series has been collected a number of times since 1988 in both paperback and hardcover editions.

The Punisher: Circle of Blood Epic Collection contains 504 pages for a suggested retail price of $49.99.
