Original ‘Transformers’ Animated Series Rolls into Theaters for 40th Anniversary Event

Tired of all of those CGI Transformers on the big screen? Ever wanted to see the original animated versions of Optimus and the boys up there instead?

Well, your Cybertronic dreams have been answered in the form of the Transformers 40th Anniversary Event, coming to a cinema near you on May 15, 18, and 19.

The special event celebrates the legacy of 1984’s toy and animated sensation with the original voice actors behind-the-scenes table read (on a split screen, as seen below) for the pilot episode, “More Than Meets the Eye, Part 1”, followed by the next three episodes in the first series (without the split screen effect).

The special event will also include a sneak peek of the new season of Transformers EarthSpark.

Check out the trailer below and the official 40th Anniversary Event website for tickets in your area.
