‘Nosferatu’ Finishes Third at Weekend Box Office

Robert Eggers modern love letter to the silent horror film finished in third place at the weekend box office with an estimated $21.1 million.

Eggers’ Nosferatu opened on Christmas Day and has made an impressive $40.3 million so far, with more on the way from domestic and international audiences (especially from the lands that birthed the horror film in Europe).

Nosferatu performed very well with critics, with a current score of 86% on Rotten Tomatoes, and a little less positive with ticket buyers, with a B- Cinemascore (indicative of most of Eggers’ previous releases such as his recent film The Northman , which earned a B grade from those polled in theaters).

Check back next week to see if Nosferatu was able to put more fans under his spell at the weekend box office.
