The New Mutants travel from Asgard, to Madripoor, to Muir Isle, and back home again to Westchester, New York in their latest Epic Collection.
The New Mutants: Asgardian Wars Epic Collection contains The New Mutants #32-44, The New Mutants Annual #2, and parts two and three of the X-Men/Alpha Flight/New Mutants “Asgardian Wars” crossover in The New Mutants Special Edition and The Uncanny X-Men Annual #9.
All stories are written by Chris Claremont with art by Steve Leialoha, Mary Wilshire, Rick Leonardi, Keith Pollard, Jackson “Butch” Guice, Steve Purcell, Alan Davis, Bill Sienkiewicz, Dell Barras, Kyle Baker, Whilce Portacio, Mike Mignola, Terry Austin, and Arthur Adams.
Along with the team’s unscheduled trip the Asgard to contend with The Entrantress and Loki, the group also gets a new headmaster in the form of the reformed Magneto. Other highlights from 1985 and 1986 include a Secret Wars II crossover the Beyonder, the introduction of Psylocke, and some typical trouble from Legion, Emma Frost, the Shadow King, and the madcap Mojo.
The Epic Collection consists of 512 pages for a suggested retail price of $49.99.
