The God of Mischief meets those whose job it is to protect time, first in the form of a grizzled, and somewhat weary Owen Wilson in a newly-released clip for Loki, the upcoming Disney+ series.
In the clip, Loki (Tom Hiddleston) is being taken by Agent Mobius (Wilson) “to talk.” Mobius brushes off Loki’s contention that he doesn’t want to speak to anyone, “because we both know you love to talk. Talky talky.”
Wilson’s Agent Mobius works for the Time Variance Authority, the group overseen by the Time Keepers. The Time Keepers were first introduced by Marvel in the Thor comics in 1979.
While it seemed likely we would never see Loki again, after Thanos killed him in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, Loki popped up again when the Avengers from 2019’s Endgame traveled back in time to the Battle of New York. Loki then stole the Tesseract and disappeared.
The six-episode Loki starts streaming on June 9, and co-stars Richard E. Grant, Sophia Di Martino, Jaimie Alexander, Cailey Fleming, and Erika Coleman. The series is directed by Kate Herron.
