New ‘Dreadstar’ Omnibus Editions Coming from Dark Horse Comics

Jim Starlin’s Dreadstar series returns in a set of three paperback Omnibus editions from Dark Horse Books and Monkey Wrench Entertainment, commencing in the Fall of 2025 with Volume 1.

Starlin’s sci-fi/fantasy series from the 1980s (starring Vanth Dreadstar, Syzygy Darklock, Willow, Oedi, and Skeevo) is written and illustrated by Starlin with additional inks by Al Milgrom, Josef Rubenstein, and Kim De Mulder.

Volume 1 collects the original serialized Dreadstar story “Metamorphosis Odyssey” from Epic Illustrated, The Price and Dreadstar graphic novels, and Dreadstar #1-8.

Volume 2 collects issues #9-24 of the Dreadstar series, which includes a more colorful look for the space adventurer.

Jim Starlin’s Dreadstar Omnibus Volume 1 is currently scheduled to appear at your local comic shop on November 12 and consists of 512 pages (with a trim size of 6.625” x 10.1875”) for a suggested retail price of $39.99.

Jim Starlin’s Dreadstar Omnibus Volume 2 will be available on December 17 and weighs in at 528 pages for a suggested retail price of $39.99.

The Dreadstar Omnibuses were originally released as hardcover editions by Ominous Press in 2019.
