New Batman Anthology ‘Batman: Urban Legends’ Coming this March

With the success of the recent installment of Batman: Black and White and all things Batman, DC Comic has just announced that a brand-new monthly anthology series entitled Batman: Urban Legends will swing into Gotham in March of 2021.

The talent line-up is impressive, with the first six issues “…anchored by a Batman/Red Hood thriller from writer Chip Zdarsky (Detective Comics #1027, Dark Nights: Death Metal Guidebook #1) and fan-favorite artist Eddy Barrows (Detective Comics, Freedom FightersFuture State: Robin Eternal). Renegade vigilante Jason Todd, a.k.a. Red Hood is investigating a new and lethal drug sweeping through Gotham City. In the course of one night, this investigation will change his life forever – and put him in Batman’s crosshairs.”

Other stories include: Matthew Rosenberg and artist Ryan Benjamin continuation of a Grifter/Batman showdown that began in the recently releases Batman #101, Stephanie Phillips and Laura Braga’s lead in to their new Harley Quinn series, and Brandon Thomas and Max Dunbaran’s Outsiders reunion featuring Black Lightning, Katana and Metamorpho.

Batman: Urban Legends #1 is a prestige format series (which comes with a $7.99 price tag) and will be released on March 16, 2021 with a cover by Hicham Habchi (pictured below) and variants from David Finch and Kael Ngu.
