Milestone Comics ‘Hardware’ Digital Collection Available Now; First Two ‘Icon’ Volumes Available In October

There has been much excitement over the return of Milestone to the current comic landscape, and to get fans ready for the eventual new series in 2021, DC announced today that for the first time ever, series from the Milestone library will be released on digital platforms such as Comixology, Amazon Kindle, and Apple.

The first three offerings include: Hardware “The Man in the Machine” (by Dwayne McDuffie, Denys Cowan, and J.J. Birch), Icon “A Hero’s Welcome” (by McDuffie and M.D. Bright), and Icon Vol. 2 “The Mothership Connection” (by McDuffie, Bright, and Mike Gustovich). The first Icon collection also includes a foreward by new Milestone partner and writer Reginald Hudlin.

More digital offerings will be added (and hopefully some physical editions as well) between now and February 2021, when DC and Milestone debut an all-new Static Shock digital series. As reported earlier in the month, the new series will be “…written by Hudlin and drawn by an artist to be named later. Hudlin will also pen a Static Shock graphic novel with art by Kyle Baker. A new Icon and Rocket series by Hudlin and Cowan was also announced at DC FanDome.”
