Miles Morales Back on Top at Weekend Box Office

Miles Morales climbed back into the top spot at the weekend box office, continuing to bring fans into theaters around the country.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse finished in the top spot once again after four weekends with an estimated total of $19.3 million. Across the Spider-Verse is also quickly approaching the $600 million barrier, with over $560 million worldwide.

The Sony-Marvel production bested last week’s champion, The Flash, which slipped into third place at the box office with $15.3 million.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 continued to add to its second highest box office total of the year with another $3.5 million. Although the Guardians will only last another week or so at the multiplex, their worldwide total of $828 million should be enough evidence to naysayers that, when done right, Marvel still rules the roost in terms of fan interest (and ticket sales).

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny arrives next week to add even more competition at the summer box office, which won’t let up until mid-August.

Come back next week and see how old Indy fares at the weekend box office.
