Marvel Super Heroes will join Disney, Pixar and Star Wars characters aboard Disney Cruise Line’s new ship the Disney Wish in the summer of 2022.
The Disney Wish will debut brand-new meet-and-greet hero experiences, an interactive Marvel-themed family restaurant called Worlds of Marvel, and something for “heroes in training” called Marvel Super Hero Academy.
A the Worlds of Marvel Restaurant, the dining room will be “Outfitted with state-of-the-art Pym Tech and decked out in signature Stark-itecture style, the venue will offer surprises in all shapes and sizes. Additionally, be on the lookout for fan-favorite Avengers and an infamous foe.” The menu will consist of dishes inspired by locations around the Marvel Cinematic Universe such as Wakanda, Sokovia, and New York City.
Marvel Super Hero Academy will allow children to pick out a new super hero suit and outfit the costume with powers based on those of their favorite heroes. From there, they will “…watch as their choices become nanotech forms around mannequins in real-time. Then, they’ll get ready for “Avengers: Mission Training,” a gesture-based technology game where they can put their new suits and skills to the test as they virtually battle the bad guys.”
The Disney Wish sets sail for the first time on June 9, 2022, followed by a season of three- and four-night cruises to the Nassau, Bahamas, and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, from Port Canaveral, Florida. Bookings open up to the general public on May 27, 2021.
