Marvel is not only taking full advantage of their current Robert E. Howard’s Conan license, but they are also getting their monies worth out of Howard’s second most famous barbarian: Kull the Conqueror.
November brings a brand new collection of classic Marvel Kull stories in the Kull the Destroyer: the Marvel Years Omnibus. The new omnibus follows on the heel’s of May’s upcoming Kull the Savage: Marvel Years Omnibus, and picks up with the warrior-king’s first traditional comic book format series (after a number of appearances in Marvel’s magazine line of the day) with: Kull the Conqueror (1971) #1-10, Kull the Destroyer (1973) #11-29, Creatures on the Loose (1970) #10, Monsters on the Prowl (1971) #16, and selections from Kull and the Barbarians (1975) #1-3, Savage Sword of Conan (1974) #9, Conan the Barbarian (1970) #10, Conan the Barbarian Annual (1973) #3, and FOOM (1973) #14
The omnibus contains work by writers Roy Thomas, Doug Moench, Steve Englehart, and Gerry Conway, and beautiful art by Marie Severin, Mike Ploog, Bernie Wrightson, Ernie Chan, Don Glut, and Ed Hannigan.
The Kull the Destroyer: The Original Marvel Years Omnibus will also be published with a standard and direct market cover. The standard cover will be by illustrated by Paulo Siqueira and the direct market edition will contain a classic cover by Mike Ploog.
